ITW Linx Launches New Category of Power Protection
Carol Stream, Illinois - February, 2007 - ITW Linx has more than doubled throughput capacity of their U.S. manufacturing operations as a result of strong customer response to their 66 block protection. "UltraLinx™ 66 block protector" growth continues to accelerate," says Richard Halliday, Business Unit Manager at ITW Linx. "This generation of smart 66 block protectors is so feature rich and cost effective that sustained growth mandates that we add additional manufacturing lines. We made the decision to add manufacturing in the U.S. because we are committed to delivering the highest quality surge protection with the shortest time to market possible. With our increased capacity, we are now able to ship the top selling UP3 part numbers the same day as we receive the order."
The UltraLinx line has the unique feature of including two LEDs in each protector. These LEDs provide indication that the protector is functional and that the ground has been bonded properly during installation. "Our customers told us that one of the greatest issues they face, particularly in 25 pair and larger installations, is having to test every pair when a line goes down. That ends up being time consuming and costly. With UltraLinx, should the protector sacrifice itself to protect the connected equipment, the protector tells you which lines need attention, reducing downtime and trouble call time."
UltraLinx 66 block protectors use solid state technology with the fastest response time in the industry. They also come is a wide range of voltages to protect communications lines, including analog, digital, VOIP hybrid, paging and even low voltage cameras. UltraLinx has both fused and self resetting technology to offer the total protection package. They are UL Listed for both Primary (UL497) and Secondary (UL497A) applications.
